With the Food Service Industry in a pandemic-fueled crisis, business owners and politicians have shown us we cannot trust them with responsible health, safety, and economic relief measures. Even before the pandemic, food service workers were forced to accept deplorable conditions and unfair treatment as an industry standard. Business owners prey on the lack of solidarity among workers in order to continue the indignities and inequities food service workers face on a daily basis.

Now is our time to say we’ve had enough, and to center our voices as workers when discussing our industry. Food service workers deal with many workplace and social issues without a collective outlet to voice their concerns. If you’ve faced problems such as discrimination, unsafe food handling, illegal kitchen setups, labor law violations, wage theft, sexual harassment, retaliation from supervisors, a lack of health & safety protocols or PPE during the pandemic, or more… we want to hear from YOU!

The Food Service Labor Circle is hosting an open forum for every food service worker to share our experiences in the industry, and offer our ideas for a safe and equitable workplace environment. Join us!
