Last school year, teachers staged historic strikes in West Virginia, Arizona, and Oklahoma — and now, it’s LA’s turn. Teachers at the nation’s second largest school district have voted to strike if negotiators can’t reach an agreement, with a walkout coming as soon as next month. As organized socialists, what is our role and orientation to this strike? And why are strikes such an important tool of working people?
