Organizer Training

“Organize! Organize! Organize!” they say. And they’re right! Organizing is the key to achieving our goals. But what does it mean? How can we organize? How do we develop effective strategies and get people involved? What skills do we need?

DSA-LA is committed to making effective tools available to all members, allied groups and city residents so that they can work together to build and exercise power. At this afternoon workshop we’ll teach and practice organizing techniques and skills that have  a proven track-record of success. The workshop is open to all levels, from those new to political work to experienced campaigners.

Please bring something to take notes with, whether that's a laptop or paper and pen. If you have access to a digital device, laptop or mobile, it is a good idea to bring that too, but is not required. There will be a brief break for a meal--not provided (there is a taco stand nearby, but you are encouraged to bring something to eat). Snacks and coffee provided. Donations welcome.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email Sam & Josh at the addresses below. We’re really excited to be working with you, and this will be a learning experience for all of us, so please think about feedback as you go through the training so we can keep improving.
